I rang ACE Mechanics because my vehicle was parked in my garage and wouldn’t start. The dealer I normally take my car to had nothing to offer by way of inspecting the vehicle. The lady on the phone at ACE was very friendly and helpful. She was able to arrange for a mechanic to attend to my home address and check my car the same day. I already knew that the battery was too flat to be able to start my car, but within a short time George the mechanic was able to advise that in fact the battery was also faulty, and no amount of charging would fix the problem. He then suggested that a quick check of the computer settings would identify if there were additional problems which would not be solved by merely replacing the battery. The test took only a matter of minutes and showed conclusively that no other problems were present. He had a replacement battery on board his service vehicle and within minutes my car was running perfectly. I was relieved to know that it would not be necessary to have further work performed. In fact I now have ACE Mechanics contact details attached to the refridgerator. I would without doubt be happy to recommend ACE Mechanics to my friends and family.

Called Ace Mechanics up after looking online for a new service provider and saw the great reviews, so I had to check them out. Staff were very helpful and informative on prices over the phone and were able to get a driver to me in less than 24 hours. A mechanic named Greg came out and smashed out a whole log book service in just 3 hours, including ordering and fitting new brake pads during the process. My daughter’s car, a 2011 Holden Cruze was not starting. I found Ace Mechanics via Google search, and selected it because it had a good write up from a number of customers. The problem which needed solving was the replacement of a thermostat and a radiator which had a leak. Michael (who provided good customer service) solved the problem by replacing the thermostat and radiator promptly. I will use Ace Mechanics again, as it was convenient and reliable. Had an issue with my sons Commodore the car was taken home by tilt truck tow truck. The RACV told him it was the thermostat. This was partially correct. I called Ace and requested Michael (I’m sure I saw him years ago). Michael assessed the problem right away. The car needed a new radiator, water pump and a thermostat. I was given what needed to be done and an estimated price. I was shown the broken parts and the new part so I could compare the difference, I’ve never had this happen with my current mechanics. Compared 3 quotes for a major service, Ace were in the middle. booked for 8:30am on a Sunday at no extra cost. The engine warning light was on the dash on my 2006 commodore. Got a phone call at 7:30am from Ace to say mechanic was on his way, Michael came out 8:25am, introduced himself and the started to ask about the car. He listened and then commenced the service. Micheal found the warning light was due to a damaged water pump, he also found a couple of other issues and explained these in normal peoples talk. He made a phone call and picked up the new pump (on the Sunday) came back and replaced the pump and fixed all other issues. I asked about an issue with an oil pressure warning on my 2007 SS. Michael looked at this on the Sunday and found the wrong grade oil had been used by the previous service centre, we booked Ace for the Monday morning, same phone call 30min prior and Michael was here again. After an engine flush and service the correct oil was used and no more warning lights for this issue as well. Michael picked up a couple of other issues as well and fixed these on the spot after discussing with me first. Both cars running perfectly on completion. Michael is the most polite, educated and customer savvy mechanic I have met, He covered each area of the car he was working on and cleaned all mess from the car and the work area when he finished. He explained all steps of the service in normal terms and was happy to work whilst we were watching and asking questions, Michael also showed me all replacement parts prior to fitting and the old parts after fitting. Will not go back to the big boys again as they were the ones that caused some of the extra issues with both cars. Ace are 7 days a week. Great job Michael & ACE.

Let me paint you a picture. It’s two days before Christmas we lost power steering & air con and have a family trip to the blue mountains (which of course we were driving 10 hours for), now everyone I speak to is closed can’t get a mechanic in until I speak to ACE Mechanics. In walks, the saviour of our family holidays was MICHEAL. He arrived Christmas Eve an hour EARLIER then expected I told him the situation and he knew straight away what the problem was and set about sourcing the part. Unfortunately it was not going to happen Christmas Eve ( which happened to also be a Sunday) but Micheal being the professional he is, found a solution that ensured we didn’t have to cancel the holiday.
